The Miller Firm’s 6th Actos trial winds down as the Miller Firm anticipates resolution of the Philadelphia trial by the end of the week. Closing arguments are proceeding this morning and jury deliberations will likely begin in the afternoon. We are certainly optimistic and hoping for the best.
In the meantime, the Miller Firm received good news as its earlier Philadelphia verdict withstood a Defendant Motion to Set Aside the Judgment. Additionally, Plaintiff Francis Wisniewski was awarded an additional $100,000 in delay damages. This makes the current total of the award $2,145,957.00.
The Miller Firm is hoping that the trial of John Krustifek resolves with similar success. Mr. Krustifek’s trial has been occurring for roughly three weeks. The jury has heard from various expert witnesses and numerous company witnesses. The Miller Firm was able to present evidence of Takeda destroying documents and will get a curative jury instruction in this regard. Please follow up with us tomorrow to hear the latest.
