Depo-Provera
The Miller Firm is pursuing cases of women who developed lesions — called meningiomas — after receiving the birth control injection Depo-Provera.
Meningiomas are benign tumors that develop in the tissues surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Studies have linked that women taking the medication may have a 300%-600% increased chance of having meningiomas. Meningiomas often require surgical or radiation treatment with the potential to cause brain injury.
Federal cases have been consolidated in the Northern District of Florida before Judge M. Casey Rodgers. The Court has selected a group of cases to be fast tracked for discovery and trial.
